SCENE 1
BOARD ROOM
Jack walks in dressed in a suit carrying a briefcase. He places it on the long, center round table and opens it. Brooke dressed in an
off white power suit walks in.
JACK (sighing): Brooke.
BROOKE: I know this can’t be easy for you.
JACK: I can’t imagine why Adam would ask me to facilitate the reading of his will.
BROOKE: I can’t imagine why he’d ask you to deal with his children.
JACK: No, just JR and Colby.
BROOKE: His two most difficult children. Believe me I know. You know I…still can’t believe he’s gone.
JACK: Must be hard for you.
BROOKE: I’ve come to terms with his death but…of all the men I’ve been with…Adam was it for me, you know? I know he’s done a lot of things to a lot of people, but he had a side he didn’t show everyone. He loved me, and in his own way he loved his children.
JACK: Guess we’re gonna see how much today.
BROOKE: I know this can’t be easy for you.
JACK: I can’t imagine why Adam would ask me to facilitate the reading of his will.

Jacob Young as JR Chandler |
Marci Miller as Colby Chandler |
Cady McClain as Dixie Martin |
COLBY: How long is this gonna take?
JR: And where are you in a rush to get to?
COLBY: My spa appointments are very important to me.
JR: Oh Jesus.
COLBY: Why is Brooke here? I hope dad didn’t leave her anything.
JR: Where’s your mom?
DIXIE: Shhh can you guys pay attention? Jack’s about to read the will.
JACK: Adam called you here for his last will and testament.
BROOKE GIVES TWO ENVELOPES TO JR, and ONE TO COLBY.
BROOKE: Before we start, he changed the deed to the house over to my name.
COLBY: So dad left you the house?
JR: Even after you wanted to run off with Dimitri Marick?
JACK: Okay everybody let’s focus here.
BROOKE: Adam wants you all to open these. Dixie you first.
COLBY: So dad left you the house?
JR: Even after you wanted to run off with Dimitri Marick?
JACK: Okay everybody let’s focus here.
BROOKE: Adam wants you all to open these. Dixie you first.
DIXIE OPENS HER ENVELOPE AND READS ITS CONTENTS.
DIXIE: This…looks like a…statement?
JACK: It’s your grandson’s trust. Adam named you the executor.
DIXIE: Of this? This is huge.
BROOKE: Before he died, he told me that he will trust that you will do what’s best for your grandson.
JACK: And if you read it further, you are compensated for the handling of it.
DIXIE: Wow. I…I can’t believe this.
JACK: JR he wants to open the first envelope marked G.
JACK: It’s your grandson’s trust. Adam named you the executor.
DIXIE: Of this? This is huge.

JACK: And if you read it further, you are compensated for the handling of it.
DIXIE: Wow. I…I can’t believe this.
JACK: JR he wants to open the first envelope marked G.
BROOKE gives JR another envelope. He opens it and reads its contents.
JR: What the hell is this?
JACK: There should be three plane tickets. One to Geneva, Switzerland, and two for the return trip to Pine Valley.
JR: Why three?
COLBY: Duh, I think dad wants you to go to Geneva and bring someone back to Pine Valley.
JR: Who could that be?
BROOKE: And he wants you both to open the other envelopes at the same time.
JR AND COLBY both open their envelopes and read the letters.
JR: I, Adam Chandler, Sr. bequeath twenty percent of my estate, and nineteen percent of Chandler Enterprises?
COLBY: Mine says the same thing.
JACK: He divided his estate with you, JR, Skye, Hayley...
COLBY (interrupting Jack): That’s only four of us.
JR: And the nineteen percent of Chandler would only make seventy six.
COLBY: We’re missing one child.
A GUY OPENS THE DOUBLE DOORS AND WALKS IN.
GUY: That’s me.
COLBY: You gotta be kidding me.
JR: Miguel Reyes.
JACK: Yes, Miguel has twenty percent of Adam’s estate…
JR: And twenty four percent of…Chandler.
MIGUEL: Nice to see you, too brother.
JACK: Actually I…contacted Skye and Hayley. They’ve each agreed to give up their nineteen percent of Chandler, divided among the three remaining children.
COLBY: That’s only 38% percent.
BROOKE: You would be right, but the way they wanted it is, that JR and Colby, you each would end up with 33%, and Miguel you would end up with 34%.
COLBY: And controlling interest of Chandler.

COLBY: And controlling interest of Chandler.
DIXIE’S CELL PHONE VIBRATES.
DIXIE: I’ve…I’ve gotta take this.
OUTSIDE THE ROOM, DIXIE ANSWERS THE PHONE.
DIXIE: Jesse?
JESSE: Hey I need you to come to my house as soon as possible.
DIXIE: I’m in the middle of something…
JESSE: This is important. It’s about Tad. Something's happened. I need to meet with you right away.
